First year! First Term! Hold on tight because it'll be a crazy ride! Use our handy checklist for everything you need to do to kick start your journey entering UNSW!

General

Enrol in your degree!
Register for your classes on myUNSW. Check out our Enrolment Guide for more info!
Make sure you can access your UNSW email
Memorise your zID
Get your student ID card from the Nucleus Hub
Figure out how you’re going to get to campus with the Travel Tips Guide
Get a concession Opal Card
Add your class timetable to your personal calendar app
Come to CSESoc's Weekly FREE BBQ Wednesday 12pm-2pm outside K17

Academics

Read the course outlines for your courses on Moodle or WebCMS. Write down when your assignments are due, and any other important information.
Get your hands on any textbooks you need. Don’t buy new textbooks! Note that first year CSE courses usually don’t need textbooks.
Figure out a planner set up to manage your time - we recommend Google Calendar. Read our article Optimise Your Study Life for further info!
Figure out a system for taking notes, such as a nice notebook, or the Notion app.

Plan your O-Week - book any tours and talks you want to see (and come to the CSESoc Stall)
Sign up to Arc and get your Arc sticker to place on your student ID
