Welcome to First Year: Your Checklist Not sure how to get started at uni? We've made this handy checklist for everything you need to do when entering UNSW! General Enrol in your degree! Register for your classes on myUNSW. Check out our Enrolment Guide for more info! Make sure you can access your UNSW email Memorise your zID Get your student ID card from the Nucleus Figure out how you’re going to get to campus Get a concession Opal Card Install the Lost on Campus app on your phone Academics Read the course outlines for your courses on Moodle or Webcms. Write down when your assignments are due, and any other important information. Get your hands on any textbooks you need.Don’t buy new! Note that first year CSE courses usually don’t need textbooks. Figure out a planner setup to manage your time - we recommend Google Calendar. Figure out a system for taking notes, such as a nice notebook, or the Notion app. Follow the Setup Guide to get started with coding.
